Known as the Fruit Salad City

Mooroopna is situated just minutes from Shepparton but has an identity all of its own. The main street features wide open shady spaces with historical monuments and a water tower that comes to life at night with a colourful light show.

Mooroopna offers an eclectic mix of dining establishments, retail stores and a golf course that will challenge even the best of players.  Live theatre and music feature at Riverlinks Westside and you can immerse yourself in the town’s history and local exhibitions at the Mooroopna Museum and explore regular exhibitions at the Mooroopna Education & Activity Centre

Recognised for its relaxed pace and country feel and located between Mooroopna and Shepparton, Gemmill Swamp is a wildlife reserve that encompasses 170 hectares of Red Gum floodplain forest and Tall Spike Rush wetlands. It is not uncommon to see a breathtaking array of pelicans, ibis, swans, egrets and ducks habituating in and around Gemmill Swamp as it provides a unique and diverse environment.

The extensive bike and walking paths that are known throughout Greater Shepparton extend to Mooroopna where you can experience the friendliness and hospitality that Moorooopna has to offer.  Wander down to the Flats, a walk which will give you an insight into our local Aboriginal history and the story behind this community.
