The Historical Society of Mooroopna Inc., was established in 1983 to collect, preserve and display items of importance to the history of Mooroopna and District. We have recorded histories of families, individuals, businesses, organisations, industrial, agriculture and horticulture. We have early newspapers, maps, documents and heirloom clothes. Our building is the former Grutzner House nursing home. Our medical collection is the largest in country Victoria.
Opening Hours
Wednesdays 11.00am to 3.00pm
Sundays 1.30pm to 3.30pm or by appointment.
Directions: Turn north at McDonalds in Mooroopna along Elizabeth St., and at the first street, turn right into Park St. We are on the right about 100 yards from turn. We are at the rear of what was the Mooroopna Base Hospital.
