Splinter artists will hold a public sculpture day on Sunday 4 March where members of the public will be invited to create sculptural forms from either terracotta or white stoneware clay in the Festival Hub.These hand—made clay forms will be placed on shelves constructed next to a glass window in the CBD.
The unfired forms will be placed side by side on five vertical shelves creating an organic and textural design that reflects the energy and creativity that is injected into each piece.
The pieces will remain in the window for the duration of the Festival, slowly drying, shrinking and changing colour allowing everyone to witness the creative process by design.
