The Russian National Ballet Theatre is coming back to Shepparton. They bring with them one of the world's greatest ballets, Romeo and Juliet.

The seamless choreography of Evgeny Amosov is based on the Prokofiev ballet in three acts with classical music. The Russian National Ballet Theatre will bring draw the audience into the tragic love story. "For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo" William Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconciled their feuding families. This dramatic ballet stays loyal to Shakespeare's original tragic ending. The romantic pas de deux, taut fight scenes and the festive street dances will leave you awe-inspired.

The Theatre was founded with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The basis for the creation of the Theatre was a necessity for promising young theatre lovers with high creative potential, both classical and contemporary.

Today, the Russian National Ballet Theatre is on a creative upswing. Among their new productions are ballets of the classical repertoire: "Swan Lake", "Nutcracker", "Sleeping Beauty", "Don Quixote", "Giselle", "Romeo and Juliet", a gala concert, as well as contemporary ballets composed by Mozart, Bach, Ravel and other composers.
