Short Black Opera and Dhungala Children's Choir commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Cummeragunja Walk Off with a special screening of Deborah Cheetham's multi award winning production of Pecan Summer. Join us for what will be an emotional return to the theatre where it all began. With live performances by Deborah Cheetham AO, Short Black Opera and the Dhungala Children's Choir.

Pecan Summer, written and composed by Yorta Yorta soprano Deborah Cheetham AO, tells the dramatic story of the Walk Off from Cummeragunja Station on the NSW side of the Dhungala (Murray River) on 4 February 1939.

Dhungala Children's Choir celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2019 and funds raised from ticket sales will support their first overseas performance tour!
