Courage to Care is an award-winning educational program supported by a contemporary traveling exhibition that educates Australians about racism, bigotry and bullying, and promotes respect for diversity.
The exhibition is open to the general public and a two-hour educational program is offered for senior school students.
Developed and delivered by an amazing team of trained volunteers, the program inspires Australians to understand that each person can make a difference by choosing to be an ‘Upstander’ in the face of prejudice and bullying.
Central to the program are the stories of the Righteous Among the Nations, those courageous people who saved Jews during World War Two, often at great personal risk and told through the testimony of Holocaust survivors whose lives were saved by the extraordinary actions of ordinary people. The exhibition also focuses on examples of heroes of other genocides as well as a 'Local Hero' nominated from the local community.
The exhibition includes a new contemporary display with interactive technology. The program and general entry to the exhibition are FREE. Bookings are required for guided public viewings.
Courage to Care is an initiative of B’nai B’rith, a not-for-profit international service organisation.
